June 11, 2015

11:12 p.m. Deputy performed a welfare check on a person near a business that was closed for the day; all found to be okay.

11:51 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory in effect until 10pm Friday.

June 12, 2015

1:36 a.m. Deputy advised an individual near the railroad tracks to leave area.

3:20 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10pm.

7:11 a.m. Alarm received regarding pumps in Malta; information passed onto City Employee.

10:18 a.m. Local MHP Trooper reported to the Port of Morgan to assist with a situation.

1:31 p.m. One adult male given a one night stay through the local Ministerial Association.

2:19 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory is canceled.

3:15 p.m. Deputy received a traffic complaint from a local individual; vehicle located and driver advised.

5:17 p.m. Female filed a verbal complaint on a family member threatening another family member; information passed onto Deputies.

9:37 p.m. Deputy assisted individuals at Nelson Reservoir with a boat that was underwater.

11:48 p.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.

June 13, 2015

1:07 a.m. Male reported a possibly abandoned vehicle on the Content Road; Deputy responded to the call; owner located and advised they would be removing the vehicle tomorrow; it had broke down.

9:53 a.m. Local Ambulance reported to the Trafton Park arena for the Boots N Saddles rodeo.

12:01 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a verbal dispute between herself and other individuals; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

6:00 p.m. Local Ambulance reported to the PC Fairgrounds for the MMA fights.

June 14, 2015

12:57 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.

2:12 a.m. Several 911s received reporting individuals had been shot at in the Dodson area; Deputies responded to the call; case file started.

2:35 a.m. Deputy transported one adult male, Keaton Fetter, to Valley Co Detention Center to be incarcerated on Assault with a Weapon x2-Felony, Disorderly Conduct-Misdemeanor and Partner/Family Member Assault-Misdemeanor charges.

11:28 a.m. 911 received reporting a juvenile had a possibly broken shoulder near the Malta Pool and was transported them by personal vehicle; information passed onto PC Hospital.

1:50 p.m. Male reported a theft of property; Undersheriff handled the call.

7:00 p.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance at a local residence for a verbal dispute; Deputy handled the call.

11:40 p.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.

June 15, 2015

11:31 a.m. Female reported a fire in South Phillips Co; caller advised was a reported controlled burn.

1:31 p.m. Female reported a stolen vehicle; Sheriff responded to the call; case file started.

3:39 p.m. Female reported a suspicious female in south Phillips Co; Sheriff handled the call.

4:37 p.m. Valley Co Detention Center released one adult male, Keaton Fetter, on bond paid.

6:19 p.m. Male requested a welfare check on juveniles in the Malta area; Deputy responded to the call; juveniles located and found to be okay.

6:54 p.m. Alarm received regarding pumps in Malta; information passed onto City Employee.

10:13 p.m. Male reported a bonfire behind his residence and possibly underage drinkers; Deputy responded to the call; individuals were not drinking.

11:55 p.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.

June 16, 2015

1:11 a.m. Female reported the Wagner Dump was on fire; Deputy and Malta Fire Dept responded to the call; fire later controlled and extinguished.

8:01 a.m. Undersheriff reported a vehicle/light pole accident near the old Malta High School; NorthWestern Energy employee responded to the location; case file started.

12:47 p.m. Local MHP Trooper gave a verbal warning to individuals riding unlicensed dirt bikes on residential streets.

A reminder:

Off road motorcycles are for off road use ONLY. The motorcycle must be registered, licensed, and the driver must possess a valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement before it can be driven on the streets. There have been numerous complaints to the Sheriff's Office for "dirt bikes" being driven on city and county roads. Citations will be issued. If riders are under the age of 18, helmets are required.

2:18 p.m. Male filed a written complaint regarding unwanted and threatening phone calls from a female who lived out of Phillips Co; Sheriff handled the call.

3:12 p.m. Deputy performed a welfare check on a vehicle with the hood up alongside of Hwy 2; all found to be okay, they were waiting for help to arrive.

10:09 p.m. 911 received reporting several vehicles and individuals at a local business’s parking lot making lots of noise; Deputy responded to the call; individuals and vehicles moved to another location.

June 17, 2015

12:27 a.m. Female reported individuals making a commotion across the street from her; Deputy responded to the location; individuals asked to shut it down for the night.

3:21 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 3pm until midnight today.

10:09 a.m. Female reported finding drug paraphernalia at a local apartment complex; Deputy handled the call.

1:13 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until midnight tonight.

1:54 p.m. Male reported a phone scam.

We have been receiving calls reporting telephone calls with people asking for personal information, bank account information and needing to send money to relatives.

Another call being received claims to be Publisher’s Clearing House and the IRS.

A third type is requesting a money order number so they can give you vehicles that they claim you have won.

These phone calls are scams, if it seems suspicious DO NOT GIVE any information to the call. Ask for a call back phone number and call them back to see if it is who they are claiming to be. The IRS does not contact people via telephone.

2:57 p.m. 911 received requesting assistance for a female who had fallen in the bathtub; caller did not want an ambulance; family member located and responded to the location.

2:58 p.m. Significant Weather Advisory in effect until 4pm for central Phillips Co; half inch sized hail and 40mph gusts are possible.

3:37 p.m. Significant Weather Advisory in effect until 415pm for eastern Phillips Co; penny sized hail and 50mph gusts are possible.

4:39 p.m. Deputy performed a welfare check on a vehicle alongside of Hwy 2; all found to be okay and no one was around.

6:05 p.m. Female reported a theft of her vehicle from her residence; Deputy responded to the call; case file started; information passed onto Billings PD and Yellowstone Co SO.

10:26 p.m. Female reported a bonfire at a neighbor’s residence; Deputy responded to the call; situation taken care of without further incident.

10:37 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory is canceled.

June 18, 2015

12:48 a.m. 911 received requesting law enforcement assistance for a male who would not leave the caller alone in the Dodson area; Deputy and Ft Belknap LE responded to the call; case file started; male not located.

1:19 a.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pickup, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew responded to the call.

7:31 a.m. Male brought in a found wallet; owner located and wallet returned.

8:04 a.m. Blaine Co SO reported a one vehicle rollover east of Turner, just across the Blaine/Phillips Co line; Undersheriff, Deputy and local MHP Trooper responded to the call; Blaine Co Undersheriff and EMT Crew had also responded to the location; coroner case file started.

8:13 p.m. Female reported a disabled vehicle with a family inside on Hwy 2, near Zurich; information passed onto Blaine Co SO.

9:58 p.m. Male reported a possible DUI, eastbound out of Malta; Deputy and local Border Patrol Agent responded to the call; vehicle located and driving found to be okay.

10:44 p.m. Deputy received information about a bonfire with juveniles who may be drinking at a local residence; local Border Patrol Agent also responded to the call; bonfire shut down for the night.

June 19, 2015

7:34 a.m. Male reported a break-in to a Dodson business; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

9:20 a.m. Several calls received reporting a possible fire east of Malta; callers advised was a reported controlled burn.

9:49 a.m. Female reported a cat that was acting strange in the Dodson area; caller advised to contact city office it may need to be captured and taken it to a veterinarian.

11:42 a.m. Valley Co business reported a fuel drive off; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle not located.

12:10 p.m. Significant Weather Advisory for northeastern Phillips Co until 115pm; penny size hail & 40mph gusts are possible.

1:15 p.m. 911 received reporting a lightning fire northeast of Saco; Saco Fire Dept responded to the location; fire contained and extinguished.

3:30 p.m. Deputy performed a welfare check on a male hitchhiking on Hwy 2, east of Malta; all found to be okay, just trying to get to the North Dakota oilfields.

4:37 p.m. Significant Weather Advisory for northeastern Phillips Co until 530pm; penny size hail & 40mph gusts are possible.

4:40 p.m. Deputy assisted local MHP Trooper with a traffic stop east of Malta; situation taken care of without further incident.

4:48 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Advisory for northeastern Phillips Co until 545pm; half dollar size hail & 60mph gusts are possible.

5:40 p.m. Significant Weather Advisory for northeastern Phillips Co until 645pm; penny size hail & 40mph gusts are possible.

5:50 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northeastern Phillips Co until 645pm; half dollar size hail and 60mph gusts are possible.

7:57 p.m. Male reported a disabled vehicle with a camper east of Malta on Hwy 2; Deputy responded to the call; driver was waiting for help to arrive.

FYI: There is a Malta City Ordinance against fireworks within the city limits. Please use common courtesy when lighting fireworks. If you have any questions regarding this, please call the Malta City Office, 654-1251.
