Sheriff Shaw has received a new pair of handcuffs. They are of the latest pattern and all you have to do is to touch a man on the wrist and they lock themselves around the person so touched in short order. While showing the new cuffs to a part of friends, Martin Olson was accidentally "touched" on the wrist and then our genial sheriff found he had let one of his deputies take the key and he had left for Lovejoy. The cuffs commenced to hurt Martin and something had to be done, so a trip was made to Rader's Blacksmith Shop and the cuffs filed off. Of course it cost Mr. Shaw a little but the fun was worth it.
