Malta News for the week of February 24, 2015

The Phillips County CattleWomen served a roast beef, green bean, and cheesy potato lunch with refreshments and dessert for the Veseth Bull Sale held at the Pavilion last Wednesday, February 17th.

The P.C. CattleWomen's purpose is to promote beef and to educate individuals about the benefits of beef.

This Thursday, February 25th the P.C. CattleWomen will be entertaining youth at the Boys & Girls Club on the benefits of beef, beef by-products, branding and ID-ing along with a cattle roundup game.

They have shown groups how to purchase, prepare and cook beef.

There is currently a P.C. CattleWomen Scholarship available to any county high school senior interested in the beef industry.

They are co-sponsors with the P.C. Extension and the PCCHC in hosting the P.C. Ag Day which will be March 18th at City Hall.

They also go to the schools during Farm/City Week every November.

They have donated roasts to the Malta Food Bank over the holidays, donate beef to the Wrestling Tournament every January, and host the Montana Bumper Sticker for Agricultural Promotion.
