Team to face Mon-Dak in Eastern C's first round

The North Country Mavericks have won their first district title under their new look mascot as they defeated the Scobey Lady Spartans 53-32 in last Saturday's 2016 District 3C Tournament Championship game in Malta. The team defeated the Dodson Coyotes 57-18 to reach the title game on Friday night.
"I liked our defensive intensity this past weekend," Lady Mavericks Head Coach Amber Erickson said. "We really worked on it all week in practice. We worked on staying low on defense and keeping people in front of us, limiting the amount of open shots and good looks opponents can get at the basket."
