Mustangs take second in low stakes 2B chipper

The Malta Mustangs had nothing to fear going into the championship of the 2016 2B District Tournament as the team solidified a spot in the Northern B Divisional Tournament by having the best regular season record.

The Mustangs did face a tough and hungry foe in the Poplar Indians in last Saturday’s 2B championship game in Glasgow and lost 75-69.

By losing the 2B chipper Malta did put themselves on the same side of the Northern B bracket as Choteau, who is Class B’s top ranked team and reigning champs.
