One Nation, Under God

Loring News for the week of June 29, 2016

Greetings readers! I hope you had a wonderful solstice! I love the long daylight days! Not that I do much with them, just enjoy!

I have a feeling that Ruth and John Flansaas had a joy filled week! Michael’s family from Alaska was here, kids, grandkids and great grands! The Flansaas siblings, Gloria Salveson, Carol Lumsden and Michael grew up in the Loring area. I think most of their kids were able to make it home also. Fun times for cousins of all ages!

There will be no service at the Loring Lutheran on July 3. See you all on July 10 ! We will discuss the up-coming options for our church. Please be present.

I have to say, I ran into an old schoolmate of mine last week. She came into the museum and said something about a family reunion Obeck’s. I was visiting with someone else and mentioned Whitewater and she said she used to live north of Whitewater. So lo and behold here it was Carol Buffington! She graduated from Malta, but I knew her in WHS! Haven’t even seen her since she left the area, 50 + years ago! She reminded me who took her to the prom!

I made a quick trip to Billings and back this week. Got to see David, Brandie, Rocco, Debbie, Sienna and Ayden! Missed the grand girls and Brentton!

Have a wonderful week, be safe and thank God we live in America!
