One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for June 29, 2016

The Phillips Transit Authority picnic was well attended and I enjoyed myself.

There will be Vacation Bible School in Whitewater starting on July 4 and running through July 9 with classes going from 9 a.m. until noon. There will also be Revival Meetings as follows: Malta Business Center, July 4 and 5, and in Whitewater on Wednesday, July 6 and Thursday July 7 at 7 p.m. The speaker will be a reformed Jewish member. Vacation Bible School and Revivals will be by Whitewater Baptist Church. Phone 674-5563 for more information.

Correction from last week’s paper: “Hello” to residents of the Hi-Line Retirement Center Dorothy Johnson and other residents. Dorothy was a math teacher in Whitewater.

Also, “hi” to an employee of the HLRC in Malta, Buckshot Nelson, a Whitewater grad.

My sister, Janet Brown (who now lives in Billings) has been visiting me here in Whitewater. It is nice.

There was a Guslander family reunion in Lewistown, Mont. Janet and I went with Gale and daughter Challise. It was well attended with mom’s (Martha Guslander Austin) side of the family. The food at the picnic was delicious. The reunion was hosted by cousin Clay Dunlap (former Whitewater High School Superintendent.) We all enjoyed the reunion. Clay and Marie Dunlap said to tell everyone “hello” and that he really enjoyed his time in Whitewater years ago. It was good to see family in a reunion instead of at a funeral. We met cousins from Texas we had never met before. It was a beautiful, sunny and enjoyable day for a reunion.

There is a new arrival in Whitewater, a baby llama. It is cute. The baby llama resides at the Austin Ranch. Justin Austin and family are home to visit at the ranch and see it.

Have a good week.

Helen
