Whist

On Tuesday, June 28, Janette Heinle took first, Leonard Leader was tied for second with Clarence Jacobson and the traveling prize was awarded to Jerry Depute.

On Tuesday, July 5, first place was captured by both Clarence Jacobson and Leonard Leader who each tallied 48 points. Roy Baeth and Jerome Depuydt both took second and the traveling prize went to Ken Ruzicka.

Pinochle

On Thursday, June 30, Clair Waters took first place with 5,850, Nina Jones and Clarence Jacobson tied for second with 5,330 and the traveling prize was awarded to both Clair and Shirley Jones.

On Thursday, June 7, Nina Jones took first with 5,770, Shirley Jones was second with 5,120 and the traveling prize was awarded to both Lou Olson and Sherman Doucett.

Hi-line Whist

7-5. Pearl and Curt split with Agnes and Carla, winning the first match 17-10 before falling 1-16.

“Made us feel good that we each won,” Pearl reported.

7-8. Pearl and Agnes swept the day’s events over Mary and Carla, 15-7, 13-0 and 14-7.

“We voodoo‘d the cards and they worked for us,” said Pearl.
