Prayers and sympathy to the families and friends of Mark Slade.

Also, sympathy to the victims of the horrible tragedy in Dallas, Tex. We all hope and pray for peace.

Life goes on.

Happy birthday to Teresa (my daughter) in Canada! Also, Happy birthday to all July birthdays.

There will be a Bible Camp at the Little Rockies Camp from July 18 through July 22. It is sponsored by the Whitewater Baptist Church. Call 674-5563 for more information.

North 40 Café is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and then in the evenings on Tuesday and Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. as well. The North 40 also hosts Senior Meals on Wednesday at noon. The meals are sponsored in part by the Phillips County Commissioners and the Council on Aging.

Last Sunday, almost all of Whitewater Lutheran Church – including Pastor Nagy and Annie Jefferson from Malta – had roast beef dinner at the North 40.

The Phillips County Fair is fast approaching! Are your exhibits ready? Sue Olson said they are doing fence repairs and other improvements at the Fair Grounds in Dodson.

We had so much rain here in Whitewater. Sometimes included wind and cooler days. I just hope we don’t get any hail.
