Malta High School has produced many great sports teams in the school's history including a few undefeated championship teams. The school's lone undefeated football team won their championship ten years ago after defeating the Missoula-Loyola Rams 34-12 on a beautiful afternoon on Saturday, November 18 of 2006.
The team featured five All-State selections and the Mustangs accounted for 14 first team All Conference honors and nine second team All Conference honors that season.
