One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for July 26, 2017

It has continued to be super hot during the afternoons although mornings are usually surprisingly cool.

The fires all over Montana are taking a terrible toll on acres of grass and trees destroyed. It is unbelievable how fast some of them have traveled and increased each day. We thank God for the fire fighters and the people who support and work with them. Our prayers go out for their safety and success with the fires. On Sunday morning it was very smoky from the fires and you could definitely smell them. It must be so much worse for those closer to the fires.

Polly Solberg went to Billings on Thursday and returned on Sunday.

Bill Henry visited his mom, Dora, for awhile on Friday.

Dora's son Roger and wife Jackie were here visiting from Indiana this week. Roger did some repairing for his mom while here and they also went to Glacier Park. It was beautiful and very crowded. Jacki had never seen the park and was quite overwhelmed with our "big" mountains.

John Rucker, an Eastener, who has built a 'cabin' at Dearburn, visited Dora Henry on Sunday. John has 'turtle dogs' who work for him when they are constructing new roads in the East. Pretty special dogs and John is very proud of them.

Wink and Terri Cole have grand kids visiting them.

The Bear's are still working hard getting the fairgrounds ready for the fair starting on August III. Time is slipping by fast----remember the date.

Birthday greetings are sent out to Ann Kienenberger, Robert Bear 3rd, Willard Mortenson, Deserae KillEagle and all those who have a birthday this week. Anniversary greetings are extended to Edmund and Gloria Mortenson.

Rule of Failure: If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried!

Have a good week and I hope the heat doesn't bother you too much.
