PC Fair Announces Concert Lineup, Frank Ray to Headline

It isn't all cotton candy, rides on the midway and burgers at the 4-H stand...there is the Friday night entertainment that will attract people to the Phillips County Fair. Once a year, the sleepy, quiet little town awakes and hosts the biggest event of the year for the town of less than 200 residents.

This year is no exception. The PC Fair Board announced the line-up of entertainment for August 4th with the opening act set to begin at 6 P.M.

Tanner Laws made an appearance at the 107th County Fair in Dodson last year, appearing on the free stage. This year he will be opening for Sam Barber, who will be opening for the headliner at the fair, Frank Ray.

Hitting towns across Montana on a full schedule, Tanner Laws is a Montana boy, true and tried; having been born and raised in Thompson Falls. He has a Civil Engineering Degree. He developed a passion for the acoustic guitar and in 2019 started to spread his wings and began entertaining at county fairs, private events, and weddings in a varied venue. Tanner does a lot of his original work, writing songs from lessons he has learned in life as a country boy in Montana.

Shane Anderson of the Phillips County Fair Board said of Tanner, "...he was a crowd pleaser and we got nothing but A+ reviews from those that had the pleasure to listen to him."

Sam Barber will follow Tanner, bringing his favorite songs and writings from his home state of Missouri. Also a guitar player, Barber has promoted his music career on social media. Many of his songs, including, "Drowning," "Run Away High," and "Ghost Town" can be found on his YouTube page.

The highlight of the concert will be Frank Ray, a country musician who gave up a career with the Las Cruces, NM police force to follow his dream and aspirations. Born as Francisco Gomez, Frank will bring a Latin influence to the stage and offer a blend of country songs that have etched his heart as he performs across the U. S.

Frank brings "easygoing contemporary country with pop-soul and a dash of Southwestern spice." In three short years he already has racked up two No. 1 and three Top ten singles on Texas Country Radio. He was named the "Artist to Watch" by Rolling Stone.

He has shared the stages with artists like Luke Combs, Kip Moore, Kane Brown, and Luke Bryan and is sure to entertain the audience gathered on August 4th.
