Malta travels to Glasgow Friday to attempt 2B sweep
Malta Junior Nate Costin turns a short pass completion from Jase Galt into a 56 yard touchdown; the first of his high school football career. The Mustangs defeated Harlem 72-6 last Wednesday Night.
The 6-1 Malta Mustangs will face one last regular season test as they have locked up a spot in the 2015 State B Tournament bracket. The team will travel to Glasgow this Friday to take on the 3-5 Glasgow Scotties, who are also undefeated against 2B teams. The winner of the game will win the district and have a favorable placing in the State B tournament bracket.
Malta has no plans of underestimating the Scotties, to whom Malta has lost to in their last two meetings. The Mustangs' toughest challenge will be containing All-Conference running back Benji Phillips.
