Antique and Collectible Show at Robinson House

Are you into vintage collectables?

Maybe quilts are your thing.

Regardless of your collecting taste, chances are the H.G. Robinson House will have something you are looking for when the Phillips County Museum hosts the First Annual Antiques/Collectible Sale and Quilt Show on Saturday, July 23 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

“We have several vendors who will be coming to the H.G. Robinson House to set up tables and sell their collectibles,” Phillips County Museum Curator Lori Taylor said.

The vendors for the day will include Virgille Mercantile, Tana’s Treasures as well as Collectible Jewelry and HairJoolz.

“Most of the other vendors are local,” Taylor added. “There will also be furniture there and we will have homemade cinnamon rolls for sale starting at 9 a.m."

The Quilt Show will be inside the H.G. Robinson House while the antiques and collectibles will be on the front lawn, as long as Mother Nature allows it. Taylor said admission to the event is free to everyone and said that the Museum hopes to turn the event into an annual affair.

“Maybe someday we can work with Saco, Glasgow and Hinsdale to have garage sales all the way down the highway,” Taylor said. “Wouldn’t that be fun?”

Items to be had at the show will also include, but are not limited to, vintage belts, vintage kitchen items and glassware.

Besides the AAntiques/Collectable Sale and Quilt Show, the Phillips County Museum is currently in the process of setting up this year’s Historic Walk after the event’s hiatus last year. That event will be held on Sunday, September 11.
