P.C. Sheriff talks TikTok threat, Train Crash on December 17

The Phillips County Sheriff's Office has become aware of a concerning TikTok post that promotes violence in “every school in the USA, even Elementary", on Friday, December 17, 2021. At this time,we are not aware of any direct threats to any school in Phillips County but will be monitoring the situation closely and be ready to respond should anything take place. All threats of this nature are taken very seriously and individuals engaged in this type of behavior will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Train Crash

On Friday, December 17, 2021, at approximately 0130 hours, a westbound BNSF train encountered a vehicle parked on the railroad tracks within the city limits of Malta. The engineer applied the brakes and struck the vehicle, dragging it down the tracks approximately 600 yards.

There was no one in the vehicle at the time of the crash. One adult male, believed to have been the driver of the vehicle who abandoned it on the railroad tracks, is in custody on suspicion of creating a hazard, criminal endangerment, criminal trespass to property, disorderly conduct, and driving under the influence of alcohol.
