On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 0823 hours, the Phillips County Sheriff's Office received a phone call from a female reporting that a friend in the Zortman area had called her reporting that her house was on fire.     On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, shortly after 7 A.M., the Phillips County Sheriff's Office received a 9-1-1 call reporting a single vehicle crash near mile marker 25 on US 191 North of Malta, MT.     On Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 0739 hours, the Phillips County Sheriff's Office was notified of a pursuit of a vehicle by Fort Belknap Police officers on Route 66, heading South towards US 191. Sheriff Jerry Lytle, Undersheriff Kevin Metcalf, and Deputy Seth Sanguins engaged and started driving south of Malta towards the location of the pursuit.
