    The Saco-Whitewater Lady Panthers are now 9-1 this season after defeating Lustre Christian and Opheim last weekend. In both games the Lady Panthers flexed offense and defensive muscles while also showing depth. In their Friday night home game against the Lustre Christian Lions, the team won 71-10, with three of Lustre's points coming in the last minute of the game.     The Dodson Coyotes remain winless after losing to the Frazer Bearcubs, Lustre Christian Lions and Malta’s JV team last week.     The Dodson Lady Coyotes dropped games last week to Lustre Christian, Frazer and Malta JV squad. The team started it’s week against Class B’s Malta JV squad and lost that game 58-21 on Tuesday, January 13. Janessa Henry and Shontelle Talks Different both had six points in the loss.     Malta’s JV basketball squads both recorded victories against Class C Dodson’s Varsity last Tuesday, January 13. In the girl’s game the JV M-ettes won 58-21. The team was led by Shay Garfield who scored 12 points. DeeDee Johannesen and Jada Nicholson scored 10 points a piece. Eva Harms and Mary Grace Kalal added eight points a piece.     The Malta M-ettes are now 10-0 after bulldozing Plentywood and Harlem this weekend. In the team's 63-13 win against the Plentywood Lady Cats, Malta looked ruthless jumping out to a 26-4 lead after the end of the first quarter.     All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the 2015 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The local competition will be held at the Malta Grade School gym on Sunday, January 25th, at 1:00 p.m. There are separate divisions for boys and girls for each age group; age is determined as of January 1.
