The Dodson Coyotes remain winless after losing to the Frazer Bearcubs, Lustre Christian Lions and Malta’s JV team last week. Malta’s JV basketball squads both recorded victories against Class C Dodson’s Varsity last Tuesday, January 13. In the girl’s game the JV M-ettes won 58-21. The team was led by Shay Garfield who scored 12 points. DeeDee Johannesen and Jada Nicholson scored 10 points a piece. Eva Harms and Mary Grace Kalal added eight points a piece. In the team's 63-13 win against the Plentywood Lady Cats, Malta looked ruthless jumping out to a 26-4 lead after the end of the first quarter. All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the 2015 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship.
