Paleontologists hope to close case on Ralph's breed

After years of being classed as a "mystery sauropod" at the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum in Malta, the long necked dinosaur fossil named Ralph was broken out of his case to solve the mystery of which type of sauropod he is.

Cary Woodruff, a paleontology and Earth Sciences graduate from Montana State University and the Museum of the Rockies came to the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum in Malta last Monday, August 10, to find out exactly what Ralph is.

According to Woodruff, Ralph, found in Central Montana in 2005 is from a period called the Morrison Formation.
