Coyotes lose close match to Harlem; To face North Country in Dodson tomorrow

Another rough second quarter spoiled an otherwise strong game for the Dodson Coyotes, as they fell to the Harlem Wildcats last Tuesday Night in Harlem. The score was 61-51. The team also had a 67-27 loss to Lustre Christian last Saturday in Dodson and a 78-34 loss to Frazer last Friday night in Frazer.

David Jaynes led the Coyotes with an 18 points effort. Cleo Cole had eight points. Jasper Doney had six points. Lane Walling and Steven Ereaux had five points apiece. Gavin Fox had four points. Tyrese Messerly had three points. Shaun Ball had two points.

The Coyotes either outscored or tied Harlem's score totals for the first, third and fourth, but the team had to play catch up after only putting up three points in the second quarter.

The Coyotes got to the free throw 20 times and knocked down 13 attempts (65 percent). Harlem got to the line 30 times and made 12 attempts (40 percent).

In the team's loss to Lustre, Dodson was led by Walling who had seven points and two treys. Cole had six points. Ball had five points. Doney had three points. Jaynes and Messerly had two points each. Ereaux and Cain Wing had one point each.

In the team's loss to Frazer, Cole led Dodson with 12 points. Ball had eight points. Messerly had six points. Fox had four points. Both Wing and Ereaux had two points apiece.
