    The Malta Mustangs had nothing to fear going into the championship of the 2016 2B District Tournament as the team solidified a spot in the Northern B Divisional Tournament by having the best regular season record.     The Malta M-ettes became district champions for the fourth straight year in a row after defeating the Glasgow Lady Scotties 47-29 in Glasgow in the 2016 District 2B Tournament last Saturday night. The M-ettes also defeated the Harlem Wildcats 77-25 last Friday night to reach the championship game.     The North Country Mavericks have won their first district title under their new look mascot as they defeated the Scobey Lady Spartans 53-32 in last Saturday's 2016 District 3C Tournament Championship game in Malta.     The season came to an end for the North Country Mavericks, who lost out in the consolation final of the 2016 3C District Tournament in Malta. The score of their final game was 57-44. Before their final loss, North Country made some noise in the Malta Gymnasium taking out Nashua in the first round of the tourney. The score was 67-59.     The season has ended for both Dodson teams at the 2016 3C District Tournament last weekend. The Dodson Lady Coyotes went out losing to the Lustre Christian Lady Lions, the team that they defeated 44-39 in the opening round of the Girls 3C District Tournament.
