The Montana Stockgrowers Association (MSGA) has been busy with a series of Rollover Auctions to raise funds for it's appeal of Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) decision regarding American Prairie's grazing allotments. The auctions are scheduled across ten different auction yards. The latest event was held in Glasgow last Thursday, April 20, at the Glasgow Stockyards. The event raised just over $20,000. The drawing for special elk permits has come and gone, and for the first time in memory I didn’t care. Filling out an application for a special tag was something I used to do every spring without fail. It increased my odds of killing an elk, and guaranteed I‘d have an elk license in my pocket come fall, a general elk license being the prerequisite for the drawing. I loved to hunt elk. Donald Joseph Has Eagle Sr. "DJ", 34, began his journey home on April 15, 2023. DJ was born on August 19, 1988, in Havre, MT to Jack and Tina Has The Eagle. Growing up, DJ started his hustling business early. He started selling eggs, fireworks, and candy out of the trunk of his Dodge Intrepid. He was his grandma Helen's baby, where he got his caring nature from. DJ always saw the good in everyone. In 2007, DJ graduated from Hays Lodgepole High School with honors. We had one more small snowstorm, but it was all gone again after one day of sunshine. They had more in other parts of the state, and the roads were bad. The Milk River has been at flood stage for some time now, we have been under flash flood warnings a couple of times but so far it has not come into Dodson. Farther west it has come out of the banks. The potholes in the pastures are full! Still have some snow in the coulees and tree shelter belts. And yet it even continues to snow in small amounts! Whitewater Creek is flooding! Mr. Cummings took pictures and there is water everywhere. Recently, the PC Ambulance responded to a call from Whitewater. They took a lovely lady to the hospital. We are glad she is doing better and at home now. The ambulance provides a real service; however, Whitewater should have its own local ambulance service. There is an ambulance here but cannot get anyone to be medics and drive. Maybe there is time and training involved. We are so isolated out here and a...

The boys were led by senior Kayden Bishop who had 92 strokes over the 18-hole course. Hunter Stolem had 111 strokes, Camryn Mears had 119, and Eli Hanson had 120.
