    In the early morning of 08/20/2019 there was a vehicle crash located about 2 miles west of Dodson, a short distance west of the Milk River Bridge, on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation, in Phillips County. A passerby called 911 and reported the crash to the Phillips County Sheriff's Office. Undersheriff Kevin Metcalf responded to the scene, as well as Malta EMS and Malta Fire Department.     On the evening of Tuesday, July 30, the Phillips County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received a phone call from the Fort Belknap Police dispatch stating their officers were in a pursuit with a vehicle at speeds up to 110-miles per hour heading east on US Highway 2 towards Phillips County. Deputies Nico Myers, Johnny Morgan, Jesse Niehoff, along with Undersheriff Kevin Metcalf responded to assist in the pursuit.     On Thursday, July 4, 2019, the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reporting a boating accident at Nelson Reservoir near Sleeping Buffalo Resort. An ambulance, a Deputy Sheriff, and a Montana Fish and Game Warden were dispatched to respond to the incident.     Shortly before midnight, Monday, June 10, 2019, Phillips County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reporting a single vehicle crash at mile marker 114 on US 191 South. The caller reported that there was one occupant in the vehicle and that the person was deceased. This was later determined to be incorrect as the driver reported the crash after having been given a ride to Malta.     At approximately 1345 hours (1:45 p.m.) on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, a prisoner escaped from the custody of Phillips County Sheriff's Office personnel while in transit from Justice Court to the Phillips County Jail. The prisoner took off running east from the Phillips County Courthouse and headed east on South 3rd Street. He was captured less than 5 minutes later at an apartment two blocks from the Courthouse.
