    Forty high school seniors across Phillips County graduated over the past couple of weekends.     On Friday, May 14, during one of his many volunteer concerts for the residents of the Hi-Line Retirement Center, it was announced that Warren Taylor has won the Montana Health Care Association Volunteer of the Year award.     Malta Kiwanis are happy to announce that they recently became part of the national program known as the Little Free Library. Throughout Montana Kiwanis Clubs have joined in this special program to encourage reading for everybody. There are over 100,000 Little Free Library projects set up and one is now located near Patty's Greenhouse and Florist.     The Montana Dinosaur Trail is once again making news as the Treasure State Lifestyles Magazine dedicated an entire issue to the Trail. Created in 2005, the Montana Dinosaur Trail works to promote tourism in 14 facilities across the State of Montana.     It was 86 degrees when we got to the lake. I hoped to fish the next day, but the wind rose at dusk and howled all night. At first light it was spitting rain, and after wrapping up some work on the cabin we decided to head home. While we were loading the truck Barb said she smelled smoke, and within a few minutes the landscape had disappeared under a blanket of haze.     The Malta Mustangs displayed plenty of strength at the 2021 Northern B Divisional, placing sixth while also sweeping all three throwing events.     Phillips County Motorsports held its track clean-up and test and tune on Saturday and Sunday, May 15-16. The track clean-up was held on Saturday, May 15. The grass was mowed, all areas cleaned up and the track was prepped for the season of racing.
