    Looks like fall is definitely with us. The tree’s leaves in my yard are falling every day like snowflakes and most of the leaves are yellow. Lots of dew every morning and the sun is not so early.     The weather has certainly changed and is staying quite chilly. We are not seeing the sun as much as before and it is not nearly as warm as it has been when it is out. Almost wish for the hot again. All my kids that were here have gone home to return later this month to celebrate my 90th birthday. Gad--it's tough to get old.     We finally got the first big freeze of the season and it really made things black. Been rather cool early every morning till the sun gets up and around. Steve and Judy Henry of Laurel were up visiting his mom Dora and helping her. Linda Vulk came from East Helena and has been staying with her too. Jeff and Terri Cole visited the Henry home on Sunday.     Week of Sept. 14: David and Dawn (Minugh) Kassa have returned to Dodson to help and care for her dad, Al Minugh. They are running the store and have two boys going to school here this year.     School has started again so more kids are seen around on bikes and four wheelers (with more than two on them usually). So far they have been driving more slowly and not racing as much. We are still having some record hot days and the nights are getting cooler all the time. We have had frost around Labor Day some years but so far have been lucky this year.     Polly Solberg was visited by a nephew and his wife, Joe and Barbara Schafer, of Richland, South Carolina. They are traveling in a motor home and have been on the road for two and a half months, having started out on Memorial Day and have made it home now.     It has been hot again for the last several days and we have had less of the very hard winds that we were having. There has been a little moisture for which we are thankful.     Polly Solberg went with her son Nathan and wife Katie to the Sleeping Buffalo and stayed overnight.     Dodson said goodbye to two residents/former residents on Saturday as Jeff Shaver and Doug Durocher were laid to rest. Both were well known, as having lived in Dodson for years.     On Wednesday Terri Cole went to Helena to visit family for a while and to attend a granddaughter's graduation. Polly Solberg took Dora Henry to a Doctor's appointment in Havre on Wednesday morning. Wednesday was a beautiful day--blue skies with lots of white clouds and very little wind; a little cool.     A little less wind for a few days. Wednesday was still warm, but a front moved in on Thursday and the wind was blowing hard early. A wind advisory was in effect until 9 PM.     Dora’s son Steve and wife Judy just returned from a trip to Paris Germany, and a cruise North from there. They said it was beautiful and they enjoyed it a lot.
